A lavish new production of George Eliot's tale of forbidden loves, jealousies and family rivalry. Maggie Tulliver, the daughter of a Mill owner (played by Bernard Hill), has a very close relationship with her brother. As they grow older they are forced apart by her wayward emotional ties to the son of the family's sworn enemy.
